In 1998, Mr. Hoon Kim and his brother, Mr. Peter Kim, founded Eastern Corporation with a clear mission: build a company known for quality craftsmanship.

Operating out of Youngsville, North Carolina, Eastern Corporation specialized in metal roofing. While they started off as a small, family-run business, Eastern's work caught the attention of many throughout the region and soon they were surpassing $10 million in annual revenue year after year. Because of this, Eastern's operations extended across multiple locations, allowing Mr. Kim and his brother to each lead their respective offices while continuing to uphold the company's core principles.

Mr. Kim saw the demand growing and had no intention of slowing down. From here he welcomed new members to the team who were going to make a huge impact on the future of the company.

As Eastern Corporation continued to grow, so did its vision for the future. The company embraced a culture centered on transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships.

The focus shifted from metal roofing to glazing and metal panel systems, expanding the company's specialties and therefore opportunities. This was maintained by fundamentally changing how they worked with not only customers and project teams but also industry peers. That cultural shift became the foundation for continued growth, helping the company surpass $40 million in annual revenue and inspiring a new identity.

In 2026, Eastern Corporation officially became BMF Corporation — a brand that reflects its technical expertise, customer-first approach, and commitment to redefining what it means to be Technically Driven.
